Guess i'm not much of a person who keeps a journal/dairy about such things. Recovering from stomach flu over the last 36 hours. (Not a nice way to experience a saturday). I was so sick, I had to miss sat service and my last duty as an usher in our Jurong West premises! Not to mention my last time to do Traffic Marshall duty :(

But thanks to an injection and prayers from my friends (thanks brothers and sisters!) I woke up the next day wondering how i ever felt sick the day before. I mean, I had diarrhoea and I was vomitting non-stop. My headache and 38.5 degree fever weren't adding to my comfort either...
But, thank God for healing me and casting out the demon plaguing me. If it weren't for Him, i would most assuredly not be able to attend today's Usher Orientation at EXPO tonight. Praise Him!

Well, i'm looking forward to moving to EXPO in a few days (5 days to be exact). Hall 8 ( the number of new beginnings) is pretty huge. I've managed to get a sneak peek of it on thursday last week when I was helping bro Boon move stuff from the music store to the EXPO. With added surprise, I was able to fellowship with bro Boon, his wife sis Angela, their daughter Heidi, bro David, and bro Casey! Talk about extra anointing yeah?

Anyways, I hope to continue updating this blog more often and more consistently, so see you in almost 4 months!... Just kidding, i'll really try to do it more often =) Signing off...

Time

Whee, my midyear papers finish tomorrow! Time passes by real quick yeah? It feels like so long ago when I last posted... Oops! It was quite a while back! Anyway, now that these exams will be over in another 24 hours, I can relax a little bit.

Time can really pass you by, kinda reminds me of my O's. During my first year, I thought: "Its 5 years later, I can have fun." This continued till I was in my last year. Then I thought to myself: "Where did the time go?" Kinda ironic actually, the longer the time is, the shorter the wait. Some people may argue my point but thats what an opinion is right? Heh, to all secondary school students reading this, don't think that your exams are a long way off ya? It'll pounce on you when you least expect it. So those in 1st year (You know who you are Chrysanthemum!) don't dally too long in studying! Number of days till my impending doom: I don't know but very soon. Guess that's why i'm not spending much time on my blog. If I had the time, I would "preach" a message to the congregation... Or at least to whoever's reading this now. Haha!

At least my GP is over and done with, that leaves me with Chemistry, Physics, Maths 9233 (aka C maths)... Am I forgetting something? Whoops, oh yeah, I still have Chinese... I barely passed my CL B during my O's, now they want me to start on this? And, from what my friend told me, I can't select CL B in Millennia Institute till I FAIL badly during my first 2 years then select it on my last year (Pre-U 3) I fail (haha) to see the logic in this.

Guess the only thing I can do now is concentrate on my other 4 subs. I hate chemistry..., well, not hate hate, but dislike it 'cause it's pretty hard to grasp. At least I can ask other people who've studied this before about it (you know who you are =p)

Well, at least the post on Tim's blog was pretty cool. Loved the signboard thing there. Feel free to link to his blog if you want, i'm sure he wouldn't mind. Ugh, it's so late now... Well, it is pretty late if you have to wake up everyday at 5 am. But i'm not complaining, waking up at 5am is a choice. It's not that it takes a long time to get to school, it's just that I do my QT there till people arrive so I have to reach class pretty early. Like I said, it's pretty late so, yeah, signing off...

Temptation

Wow, about 2 days since my last post. Actually, I wanted to do this on thursday but after the bbq and all, really exhausted. And I wanted to do this yesterday, roughly 30 min ago according to my watch but I had my homework to do, so guess I had my priorities in order. Since I have time now, I may as well do it. Besides, i'm going off-topic =)

Tempation can be beaten. It's not as impossible as you think it is. For one, God only gives us temptations which can be overcome so have faith yeah? For another, if Jesus could overcome temptation from the devil, how easy do you think ours are compared to His? All we need to do is to learn on God to resist temptation. One may think giving in to temptation is not commiting sin, BUT what happens if you do give in to that temptation? Normally it involves an unlawful and sinful act. Remember, the torment of resisting temptation is nothing compared to the torment of yielding to that temptation and facing the consequences!

Friends, never give in to your tempations! It's easy to give in to your tempations but it's hard to resist it. If it's easy, it's not from God I tell you! The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, so I say to you, bind your flesh to better serve our God! Do not let a trivial temptation close Heaven above your head. What's more, do not continually indulge yourself in temptation as you will become spiritually numb and soon, you won't feel anything. This is extremely dangerous because you'll think that there's nothing wrong in doing is and then you'll continue to do it, closing Heaven above you permanently. I'm addicted to the Holy Spirit and the presence of God, so if I can't see, feel, or hear them, I would be better off blind, deaf, and dumb.

Some temptations can be resisted with some preparation. For example I went to look at guitars with a friend recently and somehow I felt I may be tempted to buy one as I badly want one so I just took out most of my cash from my wallet. This disallows me from getting a guitar i'm tempted to get. We're smarter than the devil. That paired with our backing from God, we can defeat him! Friends, keep an open Heaven above you and resist temptation. Whenever you feel like giving in to your temptations, find your strength in Him. Have faith and fight the devil! We shall bring glory and honour unto Him! Extremely horrible. It prevents you from doing the things you have to do today and makes you think to yourself "Hmm, I can do this some other day like tomorrow." Then when tomorrow comes, you do the same thing.

It's a vicious cycle people, one which we must break out from. And it doesn't help if it's during weekdays when you have homework or assignments to do. It especially does not help when you, like me, have examinations in July after the June holidays. I planned on doing my holiday homework when Emerge was over but it's now Wednesday, a whole week after it and I still haven't started my work, or studied for that matter.

Friends, you reap what you sow, so if you want to reap good results, break out of that vicious cycle and start right now! This very instant! I too shall follow my advice and go do my homework now. And I just found out that I have no fulscape for it which leads to laziness to go downstairs to a stationary store and get a pad or two. As I mentioned above, we reap what we sow. If I have to conquer this laziness AND procastination, it may as well be with others who are reading this.

Friends, you have to come out of your comfort zone and get your work done to bring Honour and Glory to the Lord. When you achieve good results due to your hardwork, your classmates and others will see that you, being a Christian, have gained much being with Him! A few courageous ones may even ask you to bring them to church with you for the next service. Soon, others will see the improvements then more and more people will want to go to CHC. There will be a revival in your class and soon, your school. All this just from conquering your procastination. With that said, I have one final thing to say: Break out of the vicious cycle! Signing off...

Disappointed but...

I really wanted to get a guitar today. It was to be a Zion 21D that costs $350 with a good bag for it. So I went with a friend to Living Strings and was ready to buy it, but the owner was out so we wandered around the place looking at other guitars and shops.

When we got back, he still wasn't in so we went to get a quick bite. When we finally returned, he was there. BUT when asked about the guitar, he said it he didn't have one and said to come back in 2 months. So, with nothing else to do, I returned home.

Well, one thing I can discern from this is that God has a plan for all of us and I guess His plan for me is not to own a guitar till 2 months later. I pray He gives me the patience for it. In the meantime, I shall learn how to play from a cg member. =) Signing off...
